HRO Trainers
HRO Trainers
While HRO’s ability to find great purchases that create quick returns on our investment is fantastic;
HRO is only as good as our trainers. We have some of the top trainers in this industry and will add trainers as HRO’s business grows.
We are associated with these trainers for a few reasons:
They win races
They understand that it’s a business, an investment. If the horses are not doing well and making money, the horses will be moved
They have integrity; if there is a problem with a horse the situation is discussed, reviewed and then fixed. They don’t load up on unnecessary vet work, pad their bills, or charge outrageous amounts. They make money if the horses they are training make money.
We have trainers throughout the province.
Blake MacIntosh trains our horses that race at Flamboro, Woodbine, Mohawk and even Woodstock. Blake is a great trainer who has had great success with the horses we have given him.
Mike Lamoureux trains for us in Sudbury. Our horses are constantly racing, there are many classes for them, and only a limited number of horses. Mike has done a great job since joining the team, doing nothing but winning races. He is the leading trainer in wins at Sudbury this year, and currently has a UTRS of over .400
Keith Jones broke our 2 year old filly and racing a couple of horses for us. Everyone in the industry knows Keith – the man who made Abbey Road C. Keith does a great job and is a great ambassador for the industry.
Nick Boyd is one of the young up and coming horsemen in the industry. Nick is training one of our up and coming young trotters.
